Company status and insurance
Ask whether you are dealing with a limited company or a sole trader, and confirm public liability insurance is in place and current.
What is inside the quote
Ask specifically about groundworks, structural steel, building control fees, drainage, waste removal, decoration and floor finishes. Exclusions are where quotes diverge.
Payment structure
Stage payments tied to completed work are normal. Large sums up front before anything happens are not.
Independent reviews and past work
Verified review platforms and photographs of completed projects are more useful than testimonials on a website. Ours are published on Checkatrade and in our gallery.
Who is actually on site
Ask who will be running the job day to day, and whether the same team stays for the duration.
